I have shared my story with friends and co-workers about how, one hot sunny day, I left home for a walk on the beach with my dog Lily only to realize that I had left home without water. Lily was very thirsty and as I looked at the handle and wished there was a way to carry water on the handle I saw the possibility of a bowl from the circular design of the leash. At that moment the K9 Combo was born.

To make this product I am asking for much needed money to start the very costly molding process. Producing a product like this is very expensive. This leash involves more molds than a typical leash because it involves two bowls with lids. The bowls have a rubber seal to prevent leakage and to keep in freshness. The bowls can hold up to 2/3 ounces of water or food. The tooling alone for just one size is $35.000. And after the initial tooling, we still need to do additional testing to confirm that our highest level of quality and safety standards are met. The company we have been working with has been very helpful in tweaking the design of the handle and installing a very heavy-duty winding mechanism to afford dog owners the assurance that their pets up to 110lbs will walk securely and safely. After evaluating and testing many design alternatives, we believe that we have now found the ideal design. It appears to meet all of our criteria for function, quality, safety, and cost. We couldn’t be more excited about the outcome! The latest prototype has survived much usage in our many walks in the park and beach. And the dogs have been very pleased with the bowls of treats and water as well!
